Computer help? Any good free websites?
I have a computer problem that I can't figure out.
It will boot up but there are dots all over the screen. It will get to the "windows loading" screen and then I will lose the video (screen goes blank-monitor says "no signal")
I am able to boot up in safe mode and there are no graphics problems.
Does anyone have an idea whats wrong with it?
Does anyone have a good link to a computer troubleshooting web site that is free to use?
If its the video card I wanted to upgrade the motherboard to pci-express eventually. If its the hard drive I would just replace that.
Any ideas?

1. Sounds like what was happening here on Friday night...
almost exactly. Finally had to do a system restore to Thursday's settings and that seemed to solve the problem.

Good luck.

2. annoyances.org
If you can boot in safe mode, it's probably not your hard drive.

5. Thanks all!
Looks like the video card is bad. It won't let me reload the drivers. I decided to upgrade to a pci-express motherboard and a new card.
