Squeech plays live in Boston
Once again we're at SkyBar on Somerville Ave in Somerville, on Thursday the 16th-- going on early, at 8:30 PM. The link below is the gig announcement on Myspace, from which you can also access Tim's Myspace page, where you can also hear a couple of the songs we'll be playing.

If you're coming in from the exurbs (cough*Matcom*cough) you might want to make a night of it, starting with Get Your War On cartoonist David Rees delivering a free lecture at Harvard at 6:00. (I posted a notice in the Massachusetts state forum about this one.) Then maybe we can all troop over to the Chinese restaurant next door to SkyBar for some post-performance General Gao.

In related news I just bought a used Danelectro longhorn bass. I'm not sure I'll use it at the gig-- I haven't yet plugged it in to my beefy new amplifier to see how it sounds, and I'm not sure whether the songs on the set list require the low notes and force me to bring my 5 string bass, as usual.

1. Sorry, can't make it.
Having surgery that morning. Thought I'd give your thread a little kick anyway.

2. Thanks!
I know I can depend on you to kick my shameless self-promotion threads

And best of luck on the surgery! We'll play Twisted Sister's "Under the Blade" in your honor... NOT!

And, speaking of over-the-top songs, did you see my other thread of the day?

3. oh dear
Hear are some kind words that I didn't write and I hope they carry you through. . .

BLESSING

"I send you light to hold you in love.
I send you light to heal you in love.

May you love, honor, and cherish the preciousness and uniqueness of your own being and of each other being in this world.

May you see your own goodness and beauty reflected wherever you look. May you be contented and appreciative of all life's bountiful gifts.

May the splendor and majesty of your being guide your thoughts, words, and actions.

May your pain and fear be transformed into strength,
understanding, and compassion.

May the shining light of your being radiate peace and harmony wherever you are.

May you be suffused with happiness, joyfully celebrating each day you are alive.

May you be abundant in all wealth and rich in generosity, sharing your feelings freely.

May you be a soothing balm of kindness and a fragrant blossom of love to everyone you meet.

May you be well whole and healthy.

May the great love and compassion of your heart embrace and help to redeem the suffering of all beings everywhere.

May the inner light of your purity and perfection dissolve the clouds of discord, despair, and conflict.

May the intelligence and wisdom of your infinite mind give you clarity in a confusing world.

May you trust that you are loved, cared for and supported by the infinite always.

May you possess the precious magic jewel of gratitude that transforms all life into a paradise.

May pause for a moment each day to remember this blessing upon you, and calling forth the full power and magnificence of your own being, may you pass it on to all beings everywhere.

I send you light to hold you in love.
I send you light to heal you in love."

I'm seeing you healthy, wholly healed and happier than ever.
