I won't let the door hit me on the way out.

Ask them why, since it's more fun for people to brand me as something unsavory instead. Without asking for clarification, or wondering why I feel the way I do about things. I have a viewpoint too and I have a right to say it, about me and my situation.

And if anybody wants to think I was hateful toward a whole group of people, trust me -- When I get hateful, you WOULD know about it. And I'm not the type of guy who deliberately pisses on others. Pity most people (not DUers) like to piss on me, which is what started this mess, but my reasons are not without merit and I have told many people and they agreed with me - many didn't even ask for clarification. Wow, at times I can be coherent! And most of them are as pro-GLBT as they come, so don't try to label them either.

It takes a lot for me to deliberately say hurtful things, and there are a couple around here who - if I was that type of person - would deserve every syllable I could type out. And I'm not saying anything more on this because of the number of tangents involved. I've spoken of situations I've dealt with and that's the context I've always used. Maybe there was more I could have said to clearly state my POV. And maybe DUers would find it justified for the things that happened to me over the last 10 years that have made me change my viewpoint in life. And maybe there is a perspective unknown to us that we need to be aware of. I'm guilty of being ignorant as well, but recently nobody bothered to ask WHY. Just attack. As if I was wrong. And, again, I've asked select other gay people and even gay friendly counselors. THEY AGREED WITH ME. So I don't know what the problem is, especially from what I have had to deal with. I'm sorry I'm not like everyone else. Lord knows I've begged TO be normal. (don't ask what "normal" means; it has nothing to do with GLBT-anything. But you can spin that too, what the hell. :shrug: )

I was going to do what many say about what others should do, and to silently go away without making a big grand finale post, but given my time around here too many would ask and worry and everything else. That wouldn't be fair to you. Again, I don't maliciously hurt people. OTOH, I've got a valid point of view too. And when I know of certain "Democrats" (not DUers; none of you knows those folks) who want me dead just for one reason and they get more validity out of it...

So, you can live with the rumors and one-sidedness against me. Or really seek me out and find out WHY. Maybe reality isn't quite like those cozy little rumors I've been hearing about. But one way or another, it has now been said.

Breaks can be good, but you definitely shouldn't swear off coming back to DU. I've been reading your posts on here for a long time and enjoy reading your take on things. I don't really know the situation, but you shouldn't let people you feel are being rude to you run you off; that's just letting them push you around. Also, it lets their views dominate if you are holding back your own, which skews the discussion. Anyway, I hope you'll reconsider coming back here or at least check in from time to time. The Lounge will be a different place without your posts.
