Who likes wine?

So far I've received 6 bottles as holiday gifts.

I run a wine department so my business contacts tend to give.... wine (or booze)! Sometimes I love my job. So far in the past week, I've gotten -

a 2004 Beringer Napa Chard
a 2005 Beringer Founder's Chard
a 2004 Clos du Bois Reserve Chard
a 2003 Ray's Station Cab
a Starbuck's coffee liqueur gift pack (a bottle of Starbucks and a Starbucks mug)

and today, a 3 liter bottle of a 1997 Kenwood Jack London Cab! Most of the time, the bottles are nice but nothing special - the Jack London is a nice one.

One of these days, I'm going to have to hold a wine tasting party! :party:

6. We Got a Chateau St Jean 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Cinq Cépages

Chateau St Jean 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County (we drink a lot of this)
Caymus 2001 Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (from my brother)

7. Do any of your regular customers give you a bottle?

At one shop the wine manager is very helpful, so I will give him a good bottle ($50+) of cabernet at Christmas. And he always makes sure I get 20% off, even for less than a case.

I used to smoke cigarettes, but after my heart said it didn't like how I mistreated it I quit. Now I spend my cigarette money on good red wines. Mostly California cabernets. A lot of labels have gotten way to pricey for me, so I look for good value wines at moderate prices.

I have a Eurocave (with a couple of Lafites in it!!), so that let's me buy by the case and when there's a sale.

...they currently have one of those super-special limited buys on an exceptional California red... which I'll be damned if I can remember right off hand. PM me if you're interested!

I really don't like the taste. I drink it sometimes and will drink it if that's all that's there but I would much rather have beer. :beer:
