First day with my resume out there:
I have all my references current and verified, including one senior VP from a fortune 500 company (so far).

A headhunter is already finding interviews for me in positions that look good, and pay better than what I'm getting now.

Wow. This is moving quickly. :)

Thank you all for your support. :hi:

It looks like I might have some good luck.

It's too early to say, but I haven't been known for my good luck in the past.

and I know which company my first interview will be with. It's just a matter of scheduling. Good start for only a couple of hours. :)

16. I don't know that I'm loving it.
I like my current job. I just don't like the stagnant pay and being taken for granted. :(

All things considered, I'd rather they make it worth my while to stay. But if I end up going I'm going to make the best of it and enjoy whereever I end up going. :)

20. stagnant pay does not bother me
I worked for so long at $7 and $8 an hour that I can stagnate at $12 for a long time without being bothered. In fact, I sorta took a paycut down to $10 when I switched to part time, as well as cutting my income in half. In my first job with the Air Force, they offered me 3 straight promotions in order to keep me, but I really did not want more money - I wanted more time off.

22. My current job is billable hours
so there is no time off. I'm almost guaranteed to get more time off at any job I find. That is definitely a serious perk to consider.

21. I haven't posted it yet. I'm using a headhunter.
I know the VP at one headhunting firm, and that firm has a very, very good reputation for technology management placements. I'm giving them first shot at placing me.

I called this morning, and I already have an interview scheduled with a major NYC real estate management company at 9am on Monday! :)

I love headhunters. They get paid by whomever hires me so I have nothing to lose, and they have all the incentive to get me in front of people.
