How are you today?
Truly...how are you? Happy, sad, so-so...how has your morning been and how did you sleep? Kids keep you up (yuck) or did *ahem* something else keep you up?

Talk to me.

Any duckier, I'd sprout feathers. :eyes:

It's cold today, so I just want to slip into my fuzzy slippers and stay inside -- but Bonehead's got Grease tonight, so...

How're you, sweetie? Feeling any better? How'd it go last night?

The room's done and she can have more retail space. We moved boxes and cleaned everything. And she's got tons of "stuff"

Migraine came back with a vengence. I left work early and won't go in today until at least noon. The drugs have to kick in.

I'm wrestling with some things about the new job. It's like going from prosecutor to defender in a courtroom. I'm on the other side again and this is tough.

And you'll win the wrestling match. I've got confidence in you, I know you will. And you really need to get the insurance thing settled.

Only one 17 year old left in the house, and nothing much to keep me up, so slept well. It is, however, my Sunday (back on the road tomorrow).

How has your day been so far?

19. Heh...I can remember a few nights
when my 17-year-old kept me up. Not the current version, but the older model. The next version, I suspect, is going to cause me quite a few sleepless nights. Hell, she already has and she's still in the preliminary stages.

And my day? So far, so good. Another pot (or two) of coffee and I might actually be able to function.

I am well. I had an enjoyable evening. I dropped off some food for the needy- Turkey day food stuff- giving makes me happy.
I did have some difficulty getting my son, the reader, into bed. He was engrossed in his book and didn't want to put it down.

26. I'm glad
I had to work last night; not a lot going on event-wise (that's an understatement -- nothing at all live on my side) but I stayed busy training and helping the new guy they hired so that I can have two days a week off (and not go into overtime every week, which the Powers That Be really doesn't like to happen). I'm going through my cabinets tonight -- might take a trip to the grocery store -- and sending food with the kids tomorrow. The schools do a lot around here this time of year so that's how I'll contribute. I enjoy the feeling, too.

Out of my five, only one is a reader (go figure -- I read everything that I can get my hands on) and lately, between work and school and band and lessons and getting ready for his audition in February and the play that he's in, he's been so exhausted it hasn't been an issue. There have been times, though...

:eyes:

But I've been there. Heh...I can remember flashlights under the covers and asking my mom to leave the hall light on and my door open -- not because I was afraid, but so I could still read after I was supposed to be asleep.

Then I will take the Chunnel to Paris for a few days. I plan on spending most of my time in Berlin and Prague. Mostly in Prague. I am thinking about heading to St. Petersburg. Not completely sure about that one. I leave from London and land in Reykjavik. Where I will spend a week. My lodging is taken care of there. I am glad I am doing this trip alone this time.

37. I know...it's been a little nuts around here lately
I was talking to someone just a little while ago and I think that it's post-election tension. We've all been so knotted up over the past few years and it's been getting worse as the elections drew closer...now all that tension and nervous energy has to go somewhere.

And since sex threads aren't allowed, well...

It'll pass, hon. I'm sure of it. This is a good, decent, caring group of people. We'll come to our senses.

Hang in there.

I am pretty good today...but it varies.........

I did sleep well, and pretty soon I need to get out of here, get my breakfast and get this lumpy old body to the gym!

My thoughts keep me up sometimes, sweetie..........and that's not the way I want it........

You know, I have been depressed for several months and am now in therapy.

It's helping, but ....well, you know...Some minutes are better than others.

I try to keep a positive outlook. Your cheery words help, a lot! :loveya:

My crackhead neighbors moved out yesterday! This is the first night in about a year that it has been peaceful and quiet enough to sleep. I had almost forgot how good it feels.

74. So-so.
I had a really, really shitty dream last night that totally affected my mood when I woke this morning. I hate it when that happens.

And then, I realize there's a sound of cascading water coming from my bathroom. Yeah. The sink is completely clogged and overflowing...all over the floor.

I called the apartment manager and someone actually came within 30 minutes, but it turns out that the problem is with the building's plumbing, not mine specifically, so I'm going to have people traipsing in and out of my apartment all day in order to fix it. My bathroom is now a disaster area, and when I went in there to grab some stuff I needed to get ready for work, I discovered that all of the drawers in the cabinets beside the sink are full of about 5 inches of water.

And it's only 9:30. And I don't get off work until 10 pm.

Whee.

How are you today? :hi:

83. Aside from the fact that I'm cold, not bad!
I'm a bit behind on sleep, but I'm happy that it looks as though I'll be able to fit a heavier course load into my schedule next semester, and I found out last night that I was the only one in class to get an A on our big midterm! I'm thinking about going to bed early tonight, and spending extra time at the gym tomorrow, and the rest of my week shouldn't be too taxing.

How are YOU, honey?:-)

88. I'm always behind on sleep...
Doesn't help when I work until 1 a.m. and then get home and can't sleep before 2:30 - 3 a.m. and then have to get up at 6:30 with the kids. But such is life, I guess. Can you say 'coffee'?

:)

How much longer until you're finished with school? And congrats on the midterm. Take it easy...don't try to do too much. Wrap yourself up in some warm slippers and a blanket and get something warm to drink. SophieMN is a kid...she refuses to acknowledge cold. Heh...I had one who would run around the driveway -- in the snow -- stark naked.

You, on the other hand, need to take care of you. Stay warm!!!

92. Lol! Yes, kids are nuts like that!
I still have about ten or eleven classes and an internship left, to finish everything. I'm trying to do 3/4 time, since full time would be a stretch and probably wouldn't logistically work, even if I wanted to try to do it. I think I'll try to knock out a few classes over the summer, too. I want to do grad school at some point, but I don't think I'll attempt it right away. I need to work and make some money, first!

Ugh. Your night sounds awful! Is that your schedule all week?!

97. Most of the time, yeah...
This time of year I get a bit of a break at work because things are slow, but November 30, it'll pick up again and then it'll be like that until the end of May. I love my job though, and that makes it a little easier. Plus, by nature I'm something of a night owl.

Okay...so maybe not something of one...I'm a vampire. I'm usually at my best at night...more alert and more creative and in a better mood. Kids have decreed that I deny my nature and at least pretend to function during daylight hours, though.

The steam'll help, but if you put a little menthol in it, it oughta loosen things up a little. Plus you'll breathe easier.

Less for him

And I have absolutely no idea where that came from. Perhaps I was recently more sick than I thought.

But I am relieved to be forgiven my weakness, my flawed distaste for the (this is hard to say, because we all know that it's chocolate that really fits the bill) nectar of the gods.

You are a wise and benevolent babe.

I was late to work, but one of my supervisors is still out sick and one of them wasn't here when I showed up, but neither of them care too much about when I come in, so as a result, my five hour day is only three and a half hours long. And I'm using the time to mostly work on my econ paper instead of "work" work. :P
