Aw crap, looks like LeftyKid inherited my skin |
|
He's got his first pimple, an enormous one on his jaw. He's only five. I just hope he doesn't wind up with the sort of trouble I had as a teenager. That would suck, poor boy.

1. Is it a sebaceous cyst? |
|
Age 5 and a pimple is not any indication of acne later on. There are a number of reasons as to why he has the pimple, and a doc visit wouldn't be out of order. If it is a sebaceous cyst, there can be streptococcal bacteria in it. Some kids get pimple-like cysts resulting from a small scratch that becomes a type of granuloma (usually benign) that resembles a pimple.

the warm washcloth is a good idea. If you have any cortisone cream and triple antibiotic ointment, put both on it and a band-aid
