My house is shaking from the wind.

3. Meh...
it'll be okay. And just think, now you won't have to rake your leaves. You might have to rake your neighbor's though.

We get that kind of wind all the time. You learn to ignore it.

7. I don't think I'd be so worried, if we didn't big old trees right next to
the house. :o

The place where I grew up was in the foot hills, and they logged the hell out of the area. So in the winter the wind would come howling down the hills. Our power was always out. x(

21. We've had winds up
Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 04:40 PM by petersond
to 100mph in hometown...there were some nights, where I could actually see our rental home sway, and other houses move back and forth...my parents house was built good enough to shake the wind, and I never noticed the storm in that monsterosity.....its weird being in a house that sways, when the wind kicks up...

In winter of 99, I was renting a house with 4 other roomates, plus the downstairs was being rented out to two other guys...the house was HUGE, looked strong to me...but nope, damn thing swayed like crazy...my hometown was built on the side of a cliff essentially, the homes have to be tough to withstand the beating...:) This is Ketchikan, btw...:)

on edit:spelling

95-97...it was...different, to say the least...when the storms came through, oh boy...always checking our lines and what not...it was a task, but it was good times :)

16. Was at the airport this AM, they were cancelling flights to DFW
because of high winds. (I was trying to go to ATL -- that didn't work, either, but that's another story.) Sounds like the weather is terrible just about everywhere.

BC.

It just stopped here, I mean stopped, maybe this is the "eye of the storm"?
