19. Take heart about Kenny
I saw him on TV this weekend and it looks like he had some work to fix the bad work. His eyes looked much better! I was glad to see it - he looked awful before!

3. It might just be bad makeup.
I saw a couple of minutes of it and under the many layers of makeup her skin didn't look good. I find it hard to believe she got work done but didn't have them work on that.

9. Did you notice how
her skin is sagging on her chin and jawline. If she had work one then why didn't she do anything about that? Her eye makeup was very dark, her bangs were covering her forehead and eye brows, she had too much foundation and blush on, and her lipstick was drawn outside of her lips. These all looked like signs she's trying to hide the signs of aging.

10. Here's another picture of her-

I think she looks good for her age but it's clear that she's not on Three's Company anymore. Make-up and lighting can make a big difference.

12. I think you are more correct than I am. Refusal to age gracefully.
I mean, I'm (obviously) dyed blonde and a bit of a glamour girl even in my 40s, but I hope I know when to let go better than she does.

Maybe she believes that her appearance is all she has, which wouldn't surprise me. That's a tough as nails business.

7. I saw the front jacket of her book several months ago and was shocked.
It's really scary when they don't know when to stop and she's clearly had a lot of surgery. :scared:

14. I think you nailed the problem right there
I'm betting a bit of surgery could do wonders for some people; it's when people have a lot of money and don't know when to stop that it starts looking like some sort of strange mask

23. At some point you lose the "you." That's what happened to Somers, it seems.
I'd honestly have some (breasts lifted--not implants--and a tuck in my turkey neck) but because I'm anemic and insulin-dependent diabetic, elective surgery is completely out.

24. I have noticed a certain robotic quality to the heavier users
it's like the personality in their face is gone - question for you, b - do your conditions mean a surgeon would not DO elective surgery on you or is that you (wisely) not putting yourself at risk? I am curious......

26. Both. There may be surgeons who would do it, but I wouldn't want to go
to them, if that makes sense. For instance, the "Nip/Tuck" guys would flat turn me down.

In other words, a good surgeon would refuse to perform elective surgery on me; an assembly line type one woudl probably take me on but I wouldn't want him to!

16. she's 60
there wasn't anything she could do or not do to still be conventionally pretty

plastic surgery "bad" or not is at least evidence of someone who is trying to take care of herself, which i find more attractive than what most guys do, namely, let themselves go straight to hell complete with hairs growing out of their nose

nature is not kind to old people but at least some people go down fighting

22. I tend to agree
I don't know if I would have the surgery and I probably never could afford it but Christ I don't look forward to aging. I don't see any nobility whatsoever in 'aging gracefully' whatever the hell that means. I'm not trying to be agist, but it all comes down to wanting to be sexually attractive for longer so you can continue to have sex. It's a basic human drive, and I don't see anything at all wrong with it. I don't know what I'm going to do with my time when I realize sex is history for me...maybe one day I'll wake up and just be tired of it or something? Does that really happen?

17. well, Rumsferatu looks a bit badder to me....
so Sue should be like 19 , 29, 49 or what?
seems to me she's a victim of culture and expectations according to gender. too bad she got sucked in, or maybe not. but , hey, all genders got sucked into Bush's war in Iraq.

27. For sure!
What the heck are we doing, picking on the attractiveness of a 60 year old woman? If someone can afford plastic surgery and wants it I see nothing wrong with that. I would probably do it too! But would I be able to afford it? Hell I've never even owned a half-way new car.

I can't tell from the pictures if the surgery was 'good' or 'bad' she still looks like a beautiful woman and I didn't see her on TV when she was younger so I can't tell what's 'pulled' about her.
