7. i got out of it pretty quick

she was fond of having "yelling" arguments peppered with colorful epithets like "sissy," "c********r," "motherfucker" in public places, especially restaurants.

this woman was off the chain. if other people stared while she was yelling (i'm pretty low key and rarely raise my voice or get angry for that matter) she'd lay into them: "what the fuck are you looking at?!?!?!" kinda stuff.

situations like that would start over things like artificial sweetener or me forgetting to get her a straw for her drink.

8. Actually, that's not a bad sign, from your perspective.

Someone (like MrsGrumpy above :) ) who wants to "eat you up" is expressing signs of wanting to make you part of them, to swallow your identity and keep you only as part of them. This sounds like the opposite--she wanted to lose her identity in you. Sounds more like she wanted you to be the dominant one. As God intended. :evilgrin:

As long as that statement didn't go along with a psychotic personality or over-neediness, doesn't sound too bad. She didn't want to change you, only herself.

This coming from someone educated as an historian, employed as a bookkeeper, and separated from marriage. Take with a dose of perspective. :)
