7. All else being equal, perhaps... |
|
But in itself the dark chocolate isn't sufficient to elevate a Milky Way to the exalted status of Snickers.

But it lacks the sublime combinations of texture that Snickers delivers.

While Snickers is indeed very good, it cannot possibly compare to what is possibly the Greatest Candy Bar Ever, Butterfinger Crisp.
seriously I could eat a whole effing truckload of those things

13. A confection of conviction, no doubt |
|
But I'm not big on retread candy bars. Snickers Almond, for example, is most toothsome, but it doesn't surpass its predecessor.
Butterfinger Crisp is delightful but first needs to escape the shadow of its parent bar before it can aspire to the title of The Greatest.

But does Heath have nougat? Sans nougat, a candy bar can only ever be almost-the-best.

Nougat is the essence of happiness, the stuff of dreams. It's the first light of sun that warms your cheek and the gentle breeze that cools your brow. It is the comfort of truth in a harsh and uncaring world, and it is the force of the moon upon the waves.
What's "toffee" except a rhyme for "coffee" in a funkless rapper's refrain?

They would accomplish their greatness in a single piece. Instead, it takes them two whole cookie-bars to get it right.

Well, you've got a point there. Still, I contend that the three most important ingredients - chocolate, caramel, and cookie center - in a candy bar are all there and UNADULTERATED with unnecessary and thougtless additives - nuts, nougat (WTF is nougat??), marshmallow.

But "Snickers" is gratifyingly close to meaningless in every language, except when conjugating the infinitive "to snicker," and how often does that happen?
