I just spent twenty minutes scraping gum off of my sheets, |
|
with an ice cube and a butter knife.
:banghead:
I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up I was thoroughly disoriented. I went upstairs to bed and fell asleep, not even noticing that I had gum in my mouth. I woke up this morning to find that the gum had fallen out of my mouth, and I had apparently rolled around on it. It was melded to my sheets in a big, long streak (and stuck to my belly, besides.) It was gross and damn near impossible to get off of my sheets.
I guess I won't do that, again.
:P

6. That was my first thought. |

You're lucky it was just your sheets. That still sucks though. Were you able to get it out?I mean all of it?Candle wax and gum are two things I've never been successful at removing from anything.

29. There's a solvent called Goof-Off that removes stuff like that. |
|
It takes off paint, gum, lipstick, wax, glue and similar substances. Also has a tendency to dissolve plastics, so you gotta be careful where you put it.

There are a couple spots where I'm not sure if I see actual gum, or just color-stain from it; so I'll try that on them!

7. Better your sheets than your couch |

And MUCH better than choking on it.
Be careful.

|
did you try hardening the gum w/ some ice... that usually makes the scaping a bit easier.

since it is Thursday...my only guess is that it's too early in the day for half of the lounge to be posting drunk yet :P

22. My old apartment building burned down due to a drunk, tired smoker. |
|
The smoker died, too...
It was a few months after we'd moved out, in 2001, I think. If we hadn't moved; we'd have at least lost everything material we had.
