3:30 EST - Where the hell did that line of storms come from? |
|
The weather radio is going nuts with thunderstorm and high wind warnings - 60 mph gusts and also warning of flash floods. Take a look at the map. The front drops all the way down from Lake Ontario through New York and Pennsylvania to off the coast of North Carolina.

2. It just got real dark here and the rain is coming down like a Hollywood |
|
rain storm. I can hear it right through the storm windows. The radar map is showing green. The red line is still 20 miles west moving toward us.

3. I am sending it up to you from Philadelphia |
|
It's still flying northward as of 3:50, so you're in for a LONG line of storms
We already have reports of downed power lines and even snapped telephone poles! :scared:

6. I think the worst has gone over at 4:15EST |
|
I had to pick up one of the kids and drove through 6-12" of water in a couple places. We checked the maps when we got home and there's another line forming out in Minnesota. This line went through at 50 mph but no wind as yet and no temperature drop.
It's worrisome because I hate to tell you what that much water would look like if it came down as snow.! I've lived here 20 some years and we've never had weather this crazy! In the past Lake Ontario generally moderated any storms. Now it just seem sto load them up with water.
