5. The Cathedral is breathtaking.
It brought me to tears actually. Fortunately nobody laughed at the silly tourist crying for no reason. :P

Canterbury looks stunning!
Why the trip? Just for the heck of it? Have family over there?
Post more if you have them!

I went to spend time with my new sweetie. :) He grew up in Ashford. It was great because we spent a lot of time just wandering. The St. Mary's ruins are in a little, out of the way, spot that he knew about. The photo's are of the front section which is still standing. The rear has moss and vine covered sections of the broken walls surrounding the perimeter of what used to be the church. The best part was when we found a plant covered stone that turned out to be the tomb marker in the picture. It is assumed to be the burial place of one of King Richard III's illegitimate son. It was so exciting to find it. It was like exploring. I loved it!

I haven't uploaded all the pictures yet. Will post some more later.

11. That sounds like so much fun!
My ex-sweetie was from Dublin, so he took me to all these crazy beautiful out of the way (non-touristy) places. It was an experience I'll never forget.

8. great pictures! We went to England for the first time April
and i was just overwhelmed with the architecture, i hope we can go back someday, we didn't have enough time to go to the Imperial war museum and i really want to see it. I guess 7 museums in 10 days was all my family could take.:)

14. I felt the same way about the architecture.
My favorite was the cemeteries. We must have walked through nearly a dozen of them. :D

12. Thanks!
We hope to visit the UK some day - maybe a walking trip across the narrow part of England, a visit to Scotland, and S.O. the actor wants to see Stratford-on-Avon.

This makes Kent look very appealing as well.

18. It's enough to make you want to jump on a plane.
Get rid of all carry-on liquids and book that flight on British Airways or Virgin!

Beautiful pictures!
