Watching the jerries try and shoot down the huns.
"In Which We Serve"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0034891/

1942 British war flick on TCM.
Year after I was born.
Weird feeling.

Written, directed, and starred in by Noel Coward.
Ol' Noel was a class act.

1. I'm not sure, but I think the jerries are the huns!
Huns - WWI

Jerries - WWII

4. Yes, Tommies...
...was the slang term for British soldiers. 'Limeys' is just slang for Brits in general. It would therefore be possible to be a 'Yank Tommie' (as some Americans who volunteered for the British Army early in the war were), but not a 'Yank Limey' (er...unless, like me you're a dual citizen. But I digress). I hope that utterly fails to clarify things.

I think I'll take my medication now.

5. Yes
I was going to say that. I love old war movies though...jerries, huns, yanks or whoever.

9. Last night on PBS
was a documentary about the RAF efforts to blow up German dams with "Highball" bombs, and I kept thinking, "I've seen this."

Well, sorta — The Dam Busters
