Oh shit, I think I'm getting sick. :(
I've been really, really, really tired the last few days. I didn't think much of it, because I have had to stay up late for work or homework and haven't had a day off of both since I started working. Last night I was feeling congested and today I'm running a fever and my muscles don't feel achy yet but sort of funny and weak.

I suppose getting sick is no surprise since I'm overtired and exposed to germs all day at work, but it's just a really shitty time for it. Any hints on helping my body fight it off? I'm going to take my vitamins (can't hurt, might help) and make some miso soup, any other tips are appreciated.

4. Jogging?
I know it sounds weird, but it usually helps me, it seems to get my body temperature up and my blood moving and I get better faster.

16. Working Out, Sweating It Out Does Seem To Help
Unless it's a chest cold, or bronchitis, then it seems to make it worse

but if it's above the chest kind of cold, I agree, running, biking, etc. seems to help

rest, drink lots of water, Emergen-C helps sometimes, or large doses of Vit C if you are able to tolerate it.

take the regular Emergen-C packets, as well. I hope you feel better soon and that your son stays well.

14. well, I managed a nice long nap today.
I can't really get out of work tomorrow (I'm working at a big box store at Christmas, I'll get written up if I call in sick for anything less than decapitation) but that should help some.

17. AirBorne is supposed to be good for stopping colds before they get started
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 12:28 AM by Pushed To The Left
They are orange tablets that dissolve in water like AlkaSeltzer. I think I may have beaten a cold before it started a couple of months ago using this. There is also a product called ColdEeze that is supposed to do the same thing.

Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 10:21 AM by Whoa_Nelly
And they have several flavors, my fav being the lemon-lime. They also make a nighttime one of hot apple cider. There are also Airborne gummies for kids.

Airborne combined with ZICAM nasal swabs works wonders!

And, add Bigelow's Mint Medley tea for helping to relieve congestion.
