I've been here alone all day. I've been sick. And dammit if Skip's boss didn't decide that he wanted to wait until 4PM to start hanging sheetrock in the new warehouse. Skip usually gets off at 4:30. So he's probably going to be there until after six. And was craving a seriously juicy steak. :evilfrown: This sucks. So now? I'm having Cheerios.

1. yeah, and it's worse because we're LDR
He's in Utah now, I'm in Boston. So we spend a lot (and I mean a lot) of time on the phone.

he usually works 5-11PM his time. But that's 7-1AM my time. So when he's late, I'm usually asleep :( :(

3. My SO works 12 hour days
Every day. And yes it does suck. He gets up at 6 am, and we don't eat dinner until 8 or 9 pm most nights.

5. That's my chance to head out for The FloraBama Lounge.
AND...Package Store!
Fabled in song and story.
"Do it on the line...at The FloraBama!"

The front

Beachside

On the day of the Interstate Mullet Toss, the traffic is backed up way into both Florida and Alabama in front of the Florabama as people come from allover to both participate int eh Mullet Toss Contest and watch those who compete.

The Florabama is really a compound of assembled indoor and outdoor decks, tents, walkways, and the older package store and multi-level interior bar, stages, pool room and bathrooms. This photo from Mullet Toss 2004 shows just how many people came thru the FloraBama to both the bar areas and the beach surrounding the official toss area.

6. It could be worse
I'm am sometimes required to work overtime, on short notice, for 6 to 8 hours beyond my regular day. I get hit once or twice a month. I hate it.
