Margaritas Bar & Grill - enemy territory - stay away.
I am venturing into enemy territory with a friend this evening. I'm posting this as a friendly notice, and I'll kick it until I leave tonight.

Carry on, friends.

5. And I'd love it if you would!
The evening's plans involve three bars but we'll be at Margaritas for most of the night. Let's go, BNL! :bounce:

7. Do not taunt me
with your tales of fun times, alcohol, actual adult conversation, and chances to score with hot men.

I am pouting, can you not see that. DEVIL WOMAN! x(

I will be cursing your name as I fold childrens' clothing through my tears of despair.

11. Your time will come, dear girl.
I was stuck at home for sixteen years with never a night on the town or even a wink from another man. Nevertheless I promise I will raise a glass tonight in your honor. :pals:

Toast to your dear pathetic cyber twin sister The Lady of Nakedness and Wanton Harlotry.

33. I don't believe in your wanton harlotry.
I understand your situation all too well. The world will beat up on you, more than you have earned; don't do it to yourself too. I haven't looked at myself fully in the mirror since March... it's part of the same confused and miserable state of mind. I think you are a good person, doing what you must.

2. That is a bad idea
Really, you should come to my house and polish my grandmother's silver for Thanksgiving, and I should go have drinks with your friend. For your own safety. To save you from your "issues." :D

Have fun! :hi:

6. Oh dear. I read your subject line and I thought you
were serious! I mean, it's been eight months I've stayed clear of enemy territory. I think I'm ready. But if you believe I'd be better off polishing silver, then I guess you're probably right (hangs head). You're supposed to meet my friend at Steve & Larry's at 7:30, okay?

Darn, you reminded me I've got to do the same thing, polish my grandmother's silver, which is now my silver, for Chrismas.

I'll meet your friend, and when you get done with the silver you can start on painting my kitchen. ;)

19. My girlfriend usually goes home by eleven (she has a boyfriend)
My male friend will stay with you until the lights come on, and then he will gently disentangle you from whatever situation you have gotten yourself into (probably with somebody half your age, and very charming although last weekend it was a very, very drunk woman needing companionship) and make sure you get home safely. He's a dear man. You'll like him!

Dear lawd I'd go to jail for that.

Yeah, I think the silver and painting will keep you busy. And if not, the baby should be waking up right about then. :D

8. MissMillie, you are very welcome to join us!
In fact I think that I'll feel safer with a bigger army than the army of three I'm anticipating. Come on ovah! (Maine accent)

9. very tempting
my sister lives in ME and invited me to go up there this weekend and lose all my money to her and my other sister playing poker.

I could lose my money and all good common sense--all in the same weekend!

14. You can't lose all your common sense, because I'm going
to need you to lean on late in the evening. This has been a tough week and I anticipate some serious partying! Are your sisters in the southern part of Maine?

22. I have one sister who lives in Waterboro
the other is headed up there to visit her for the weekend, and to help her around the house. (The Maine sister had an accident this year and hasn't walked since. The doctors are still working to not only save the leg/ankle, but to save mobility. We all take turns going up there to help.)

24. Oh wow. I am so very sorry to hear about the accident.
That has to be very difficult for her, and for you.  Well, I'm in Bangor, home of... not much. Stephen King, I guess. If you do go to see your sister, I hope you have an excellent time. My three sisters are my very best friends. Unfortunately none of them live anywhere near me. The closest one is in Boston... the other two are in the west.

16. Yes, there are a couple of them in the state, I believe.
We have a piss-poor selection up here, if you don't want to risk getting into a knife fight. But listen, we plan on hitting three places tonight. Why don't you join us later, after we're done w/Margaritas if you don't like it?

17. I always remember the evening,
although once or twice I've forgotten the few minutes before leaving to come home. The reason for this is, I believe, that I am usually plied with alcohol during the last hour and so I overdo it. I'm not driving though. That would be crazy.

21. Uh, I had a relationship with somebody and it ended.
This would have been acceptable had he not reappeared periodically for six months afterward assuring me of his love and the fact that we'd be together eventually. Eventually he changed his mind and is gone and my feelings toward him are...murderous. Margaritas is in the town he lives and while it used to a place I went to regularly, I've avoided it since March.

Almost exact thing happened to me in the last year. I feel your pain, seriously (despite the cliche). Glad you're able to head back out there again. Be strong!

Oh. And have a margarita for me!:toast:

38. No indeed!
In fact were it not for the good conversations it's generated I'd be very sorry I have to post the darned thing at all. I don't like confrontation, you see. But I WILL confront, especially after a drink or two. Hell, I confront strangers with questions about their clothing and facial expressions once I've had a bit of alcohol.

What should I order for you tonight, BNL?
