Can anyone recommend a method for capturing DVD images?
What I want to do is capture some screen shots from DVDs and paste them into Photoshop. "print screen" doesn't do it. I'm on a PC with the latest version of Windows.

Any suggestions? Thanks much!

1. What dvd software are you using?
PowerDVD has built-in screen capturing somewhere in there.

The issue is that the video is displayed using an overlay so that when you hit print screen it doesn't capture that aspect.

There are all manner of freeware dvd screen capturing programs as well. Just google it.

3. WMP can't play dvds by itself
so if it's working there, you must have some other dvd software installed (that is doing the decoding in the background.) Most likely it will be either WinDVD or Cyberlink PowerDVD. Check to see if you have one of those and if there is built-in screen capture utility in them--there may be in your particular version.
