1. Considering that lack of dental care can lead to some serious medical
problems in places other than your mouth...yeah, COMMON SENSE would tell you that it should be covered. But who uses common sense when it comes to devising medical plans?

In England, all kinds of people are entitled to FREE dental care. http://www.nhs.uk/England/Dentists/DentalTreatment.cmsx
Those stupid Socialists.

2. I have dental insurance, but it doesn't cover much.....
Also.... have you ever tried to find a dentist in an emergency? Forget it! I once went to the emergency room with a toothache so severe I was passing out, and they did not have a dentist on call. They just gave me some pain-killer which I can't take. I had to suffer it until I could reach my dentist on Monday morning.

5. I've never understood why it isn't covered.
Or, at the very least, if they insist it be kept separate, that it isn't ever comparable? I haven't had good, comprehensive dental coverage since I was on my dad's insurance through GM. And I've worked places that had some pretty damn good benefits available overall.
