peaks tonight starting in about a half an hour. Anyone planning on putting on some mittens and blankets and watching? It's supposed to be one of the best in years!

I'm at work.
Would you believe that in my entire life...all the years I've spent on this planet and all the time I've spent staring up at the sky -- I've never seen a shooting star? Not once.

5. But true, nevertheless |

I always seem to be looking somewhere else. And I'm a night owl, too. I just. don't. get. it.

10. Look to the east, though they will appear basically anywhere. |
|
They originate, reportedly, from the Leo system.
Hopefully one has a semi clear view to the east.

9. You should see some good ones |
|
I've been checking many sites, and they all disagree about the peak times/day, but I believe that if I am out there in 15 minutes, I'll see what I want to see and be suitably impressed.
BTW: lucky europeans. They have the best views. They may see THOUSANDS per hour during a peak period.
Of course, no one really knows how it will turn out, but take your mittens and blanket, your favorite music and your favorite beverage - and watch the stars!
