2. Thanks.
I don't have anything against Canadians, though. Just thought it was a great copycat thread.

Maybe we need a worst american thread.

Never mind, we do that every day!

16. If that means "all the guys involved in making Molson beer,"
I certainly concur. But I (a good beer-drinkin' Canadian) feel I should know who they are too, but I don't.

And he *only* killed two. That doesn't even scratch the surface for Canadian mass-murders (not that it's a competition!).

11. Geddy Lee?
Edited on Sat Nov-18-06 03:53 AM by Syrinx
EDIT: OOPS. Meant to reply to OP.

I'm sure someone will say that, so I got it out of the way. Big Geddy fan myself, actually.

I was going to say Catharine MacKinnon, but I just looked her up and it says she's American. I could've sworn she was Canadian.

Guess I'll go with Alan Thicke, then.

18. Catherine McKinnon is Canadian ..
http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=U1ARTU0002300

Married to Don Herron http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Harron who played Charlie Farquarson Dressed in an overly-well-worn sweater and frayed cap, and sporting a grizzled 'two-day beard,' Farquharson is a decidedly rural Ontario farmer from near Parry Sound. He and his wife, Valeda, have a son, Orville. He would deliver his opinion about matters local and worldwide, using many malaprops in the process that often resulted in both double-meanings and increased satire about the events. In addition to his television appearances, Harron published several books in the character, reproducing the malapropisms in print and including strange photos and woodcuts as illustrations.

Outside of "Only the Lonely" he was not much of an actor.

Notice to Canucks -- Despite criticizing the late John Candy I also gave him his deserved props. Please don't invade St Paul, MN!

23. Willy's in the running.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pickton

Robert William "Willie" Pickton (born 1950) is a pig farmer from the city of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada who has been charged<1> with the first degree murders of twenty-six women, and is implicated, as of January 28, 2004, in the murders of up to five more, many of them prostitutes from the Downtown Eastside district of the city of Vancouver. The government has indicated it plans to bring at least seven more murder charges against him in the coming year, and new DNA evidence continues to be unearthed at his farm. Pickton was first arrested on February 22, 2002, but claims he is innocent.

The trial starts in the new year and some of the details make Karla and Paul seem tame.

27. Clifford Olsen. child killer. killed 11 children
http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20060717/olson060717/20060717?hub=TopStories

The 66-year old Olson began his killing spree with the abduction and brutal killing of a 12-year old girl in Surrey, British Columbia in 1980. Her body was found on Christmas Day, strangled and stabbed repeatedly.

Over the next year, Olson tortured and killed 10 more children, both boys and girls of varying ages.

Suspicion eventually fell on Olson, however authorities had little evidence to hold him. However, in August 1981 he was arrested for the attempted abduction of two girls.

Once in custody, Olson offered police what became an extremely controversial deal: he would tell police where to find the bodies of his victims in exchange for $10,000 for each body. Olson wanted the money to go to his wife.
