Anybody watching Top Chef? Who do you like?

So far in season 2, I like Betty the best. She seems like she really knows how to cook, and is smart about her choices. She might be a bit weak on the real gourmet stuff.

1. I caught a rerun the other day - first time I had watched the

show - and couldn't stand Emily - had nothing to do with her cooking, either. She was a downer. The challenge was to create a flavor of ice cream and feed small samples to people at the beach. First she bitches she hates kids and then she snarkily comments about someone's "big ass." I was glad to see her go on the next challenge. As for the ice cream flavors, two chefs came up with avocado and bacon, Hello? You're creating ice cream to feed to random kids at the beach, and you're offering bacon and avocado? Not smart.

I've watched a couple of episodes now and am getting hooked. I hate to cook, and am impressed by the creativity and skill of most of these people. Betty was good on the "comfort food" challenge, but she sure is having issues with Marcel. I guess the background drama is considered necessary. I'd rather they'd just focus on the food.
