Scares hell outta ya so you have an excuse to panic.

I kinda like it when they do the monthly test thing of that signal so you can panic for just a second or two before they get to the part about it just being a test.

DO NOT PLAY GOLF on Wednesdays at the Mill Valley municipal golf course. That weird power pole next to the green on the fifth hole ain't what you think it is. It has a rotating megaphone that is fired off at noon every Wednesday, and it is....

It's just one note that is distorted by the rotating megaphone Doppler effect. I would not have known this if I wasn't leaning against the pole with my putter in hand (not a sex thread) waiting for my friend to blast out of the bunker onto the green.
