1. Hit up a big box type site, like Amazon |
|
also, just type in the item you are shopping for and search the dinky sites that pop up. I've found some really cool stuff for a decent price at smaller mom & pop type sites. It may take some time fsort through sites and find what you like, but, I'd rather spend hours surfshopping in my PJ's than hours searching through stores and not finding anything.

Try cabelas. www.cabelas.com
I buy lots of my clothes from there. They have an excellent customer service department.
And you can buy clothes for hubby there, too.
Also, Target. www.target.com
I took MMjr to Target last week and bought him lots of clothes and shoes. All look as good as anything he could get anywhere else.

3. I was just about to recommend Cabelas |
|
I really like their women's casual clothing. And their slippers are the best.
Also Woolrich has nice things.

14. I was going to suggest that, |
|
but what do you mean by Fundy? That it's owned by Fundamentalists?

6. Newport News is GREAT. |
|
Really good prices, and great clothes (they used to be kind of tacky, but gave themselves a makeover a few years back; now you'll see their stuff featured in the big fashion mags).
www.newport-news.com
If you request a catalog, you'll usually get a deal for 15% off and/or free shipping. And they have great email-only sales.
Chadwicks.com is okay, but they're notorious for being out of everything when you try to order. I finally gave up on shopping with them.

Thanks for setting me straight. I was thinking of Linda? Bean and her RW antichoice progun rants. Maybe the company is different, maybe she's no longer in charge of day to day. Looks like I posted without doing my research. Oops.

|
oops, as well! We both learned a little something new.
I'm just glad I don't have to stop shopping at LL Bean; I initially got a little panicked.

jcrew.com Also try, for a selection of different stuff, www.shopbop.com or www.saks.com and neimanmarcus.com - sometimes VERY good sales.
www.anthropologie.com - another site with a different selection.

I've had good luck with both. Old Navy's website has a much better sselection than the store. Duckie
