YALE 20 - HARVARD 7 WOOHOO |

3rd quarter. No, I'm not a Yaley, though I did do a couple of no-credit seminars there back in the day.
However, my son-in-law is. He and my daughter and grandson Jack (4) are at the game. Last year they sat next to Gary Trudeau and Jane Pauley Trudeau. Can't wait to hear if they were back this year. They have (had?) a daughter at Yale.

1. Interesting story about the Abare brothers. |

Twins who grew up in Acton, MA. Applied to Harvard but not accepted. Went on down the road to New Haven and got into Yale. I guess they have a little extra incentive to beat the Crimson. Go 'Dawgs.
On edit: 5 will get you 10 that the Abare's name was spelled 'Hebert' at one time. Betcha.

"When I came to the NFL, I wanted to lose the Harvard stigma. But as a part of rookie hazing I had to sing my college fight song, which happens to be in Latin."

8. Couple. Last year my daughter & family sat next to the Trudeaus. |
|
Gary & Jane (Pauley). Jane was very nice and chatted up our 4 year old grandson. My daughter didn't twig to who the guy was until her husband told her on the way home.

Ah...the days of hip flasks, raccoon coats, cloche hats, and 'So's your old man'. 'I love my wife, but OH you keed.' Damn. I belong in the F. Scott era. Flaming youth. Rolled stockings. Bobbed hair. FLAPPERS!
