Poll question: Make my travel plans: bus or puddlejumper?
I've got a one-way trip back from the big city next Sunday.

Greyhound is $75, little plane is $300.

Greyhound is 7 hours, little plane is a 45-minute flight.

Greyhound is 6 a.m. departure, plane I could spend another day with a perfectly lovely woman and leave in the evening.

Which one? And why?!? :D

2. Time is valuable.
Time spent with someone special is even moreso. Take the plane. Plus, a relatively low level flight through the Rockies would be AWESOME.

...if you've met my new (to me) four-stroke bike.

Or is that not what you meant? :D

14. Statistically, no.
Airline travel much safer than highway travel.
You could look it up.

Look that up

17. I never said airlines did, I simply stated...
buses don't provide them (I wonder if upper level management have a few golden ones squirreled away somewhere?). Nevertheless, airlines do offer something that buses don't - flotation devices! Is that cool, or what? ;)

13. I say puddlejumper
unless you are short on funds, then take the bus. But if you can afford it, take the plane and spend the extra time with her!:7

18. By "puddlejumper," what do you mean?
A Cessna 172? A Beech Duchess? A Saab 340? Or a "real" jet, like a 50-passenger CRJ, or a 70-passenger EMB-175? There are a lot of ways to jump puddles, and if the airplane is a regional jet it's as safe as the "big" airlines.

And even if you were taking a Piper Cub, you'd still save a lot of time you could be spending with the lady -- and they do say, faint heart ne'er won fair maiden. :D

20. I've never flow before, but I would say
spring for the puddle-jumper. Spending a lovely day with a special chiquita is worth the extra cost.
