What's the best show currently on TV?
I love "Grey's Anatomy", "Boston Legal" is terrific, "Monk" is wonderful, and I will even admit to laughing out loud at "Two and a Half Men"; but for my money, "House" may be one of the great shows of all time.

BSG has the most courageous writers on TV. They made suicide bombers look heroic.

14. I love CSI - the original - this year.
It's been much more like the first season when it was case focused instead of personality focused.
I'm also a huge 24 fan - when it returns...and this year I really like Brothers and Sisters.

15. Looks like I'm the 4th vote for BSG
Absolutely the best show on TV today and certainly in the running for all time best. And it goes beyond the SciFi genre. Just plain outstanding in all respects. It's poignant now and I'm sure it will hold up over time the way good literature and art does. (Well until we're traveling through space like they do in the show perhaps, but even then it'll be worth watching for the quality of the character driven stories I think :) )

I also like Lost and Heroes. I tried watching Jericho but gave up because it got too sappy...every episode ends with a happy Brady Bunch type ending.

House...LOVE IT!! That's the kind of doctor I'd be if I were to make it through med school..or so my sister tells me. Cranky but one who cares about the patient and the outcomes.

31. Daily Show, Colbert Report, Heroes. That is all.
I will sometimes watch Gilmore Girls, but that show has lost all of its charm for some reason.

Lost would be on my list, except that it squanders every opportunity to move the story along. Can't they just kill Kate already?

50. "The Office" and "The Colbert Report". Oh, and philosophie_en_rose,
I agree with "Gilmore girls" losing its charm. I think it started when Rory lost her virginity to her married ex-boyfriend. Plus, the Luke and Lorelai friendship/relationship was pretty much trashed in the second-half of last season and the very beginning of this one. I haven't watched in several weeks.

57. I think it started its steep decline, when Rory quit Yale.
Poor me! I get a free education from an Ivy League School, but someone hurt my wittle feelings!

I agree with you about Luke and Lorelai. They turned Lorelai into a passive aggressive wimp and Luke into a bumbling fool. And I just don't buy that cheating Logan character.

I do like the other characters (except Kirk), so I'll watch it when it's on. However, I don't plan to see it anymore.

61. LOL: Rory's "wittle feelings".
Edited on Sun Nov-19-06 11:52 AM by Bella Pisces
Yeah, I felt like smacking her repeatedly during her Yale hiatus. Actually, I think that feeling started when she hooked up with Logan. I'm with you, I don't buy that one. He reminds me of Christopher, actually - which is another reason not to like him.

I still have a soft spot for Luke, though. And the other townies. But that doesn't seem to be enough to make me actively tune in.

62. Bones. It's not the best show BY FAR...
But I completely love Bones's monotone delivery (from the TV show of the same name). It lulls me into the most magnificent stupor. I want her to get really, really passionate about something, and yet she remains so very chill. I keep waiting for her to completely flip her lid, and when she does, it will be so very gratifying. The other day she almost died by being buried alive, and when they pulled her out all dusty and whatnot, she had the affect of a person that just, you know, dropped a paperclip on the ground. LOVES IT!
