"Gimme Shelter" and Martin Scorsese.
"Gimme Shelter" is not the worst Rolling Stones song.

And it was well placed on the soundtrack to Goodfellas.

But it seemed kind of pointless on the soundtrack to Casino.

And it's just irritating to hear it again on the soundtrack to The Departed.

By the way, I really liked The Departed, really loved Goodfellas, and did not care for Casino.

1. The last third of Casino is very weak
It's like he got tired of his own story. The pace picks up, but it feels forced. The scenes become too short, the segues almost nonexistent, and he throws every song you ever heard in the 70's into the last 30 minutes.

Still worth watching, just to see Pesci beaten half to death with a bat and buried alive.
