I agree with you -- :shrug: -- but differing opinions, even when offered reasonably, have a way of being daggered over there.

BTW, it's not so much hostility as fear. Ha. In my case, it's a matter of thin skin. I try really hard to be reasonable and non-judgmental. I don't know if I always succeed.

There's something about GD — I don't know if it's some of its denizens or if it's the national sport there or what, but — if you post "I like pie," a flame war is likely to ensue on the grounds that:

•"The term 'pie' offends me. We all know you meant 'hairpie,' and that's offensive to women."
