finally made it into work. A simple 20-min trip on the MARTA train stretched out to 50 mins, no thanks to a major breakdown (enough to offload the train) and a minor breakdown (extended delay, but no offload). No fun standing in the cold waiting for the next train.

Fortunately, it's gonna be a slow week and the boss is on vacation and no meetings. Hope your Monday is better! :hi:

Yesterday I went home from my mom to my place by train. Normally a 3 hour trip. The train left the station on time. Before we got to the next stop we had to wait 10 minutes due to construction and only one track open for both directions. OK. We got into the next station 10 min late. Then they told us the departure is going to take some more minutes due to an incident with people between this station and next (meaning someone threw him/herself in front of a train and the track is closed till police recorded everything). We left the station with 30 minutes delay. The next two stations no special incidents except still being late. Before we got to Frankfurt we had to wait again due to construcion and one track again. I got to the final destination 30 minutes late. Of course I missed to subways (they only go ever 20 minutes at that time). In the end I was home 12.15am instead of 11.30pm. It really sucked. But at least I was sitting IN the train :)
