I get calluses from lacing up my boots; has anyone solved this problem?
I like wearing boots to have the ankle support (I used to wear Doc Martens because my foot surgeon friend wears them but they got all cheap and started changing stuff about them so I switched to Grinders), but for some reason with this new pair I've got I end up getting calluses on the sides of my pinkies from pulling the laces tight. Has anyone come up with a way of preventing this?

4. Well, picture you are pulling your laces real tight.
They press real hard against the side of your pinkies when you pull the laces.

2. No, mon.
Here in the islands we only wear sandals and flippers. But I can tell you what to do for jelly fish stings! :)

3. What a cute thread! And re: calluses...
I also like boots that give my ankles support, and pull the laces to getthe best support and comfortable fit. I always stop the lace pulling at the ankle, and adjust using the laces, not my fingers, as I wiggle my ankle into the best support.

Maybe you could put on those little finger rubbers...? :o

(Actually, thoses are called finger cots, and can be found in any pharmacy, but I like calling'em "finger rubbers" better ;evilgrin: )

6. You need a good pair of buttonhooks.
That's what the pros use.
