Guess what I did for my birthday today?

Faxed two resumes to places I really don't want to work.

Took two naps.

Chased my cat around the house til he told me to fuck off.

Grilled some tempeh, then steamed it.

Had a phone interview with a job I might want, maybe...if I'm starving.

Posted a bunch of things here and got ignored. Par for the course, doesn't bother me, I'm used to it. Feel sorry for me yet? Don't. I'm an attention whore.

Took a picture of a palmetto bug, but it was blurry so I deleted it (as I deleted him, the little bastard.....I mean big bastard. He was fucking huge and my cat, get this, RAN AWAY from him...Jesus, was a wuss)

Started reading a Danielle Steele book and nearly threw it in the trash.

Checked the photo group (about 50 times) to see if the photo's were up for voting yet. They're not. Why?

Cleaned and watered my fake plant.

Did laundry at the out door laundro-mat and lost a quarter. Said fuck about a million times, but still didn't get the quarter back.

That's about it.

(though I am), I've always been like that. Even as a young guy, I preferred to sleep four hours at night and one hour each in two naps, than six hours all at once at night.

Tempeh begins with whole soybeans, which are softened by soaking and dehulled, then partly cooked. Specialty tempehs may be made from other types of beans, wheat, or may include a mixture of beans and whole grains.

A mild acidulent, usually vinegar, may be added and a culture containing the spores of fungus Rhizopus oligosporus is then mixed in. The beans are spread into a thin layer and are allowed to ferment for approximately 24 hours at a temperature around 30°C (86°F). In good tempeh, the beans are knit together by a mat of white mycelia.

Under conditions of lower temperature, or higher ventilation, gray or black patches of spores may form on the surface -- this is not harmful, and should not affect the flavor or quality of the tempeh. This sporulation is normal on fully mature tempeh. A mild ammonia smell may accompany good tempeh as it ferments, but it should not be overpowering. In Indonesia, ripe tempeh (two or more days old) is considered a delicacy.
