7. I'm doing fine!
Grearing up for the holidays at the store. Working a lot. I had Greekspeak's dad and sister here for the past several days, so I've been a busy boy. But...I'm doing fine! SO good to see you too!:loveya:

11. We usually serve some kind of breakfast after midnight so I would get some of that
Edited on Mon Nov-20-06 11:08 PM by Kali
kind of stuff. Usually a big mess o scrambled eggs and some ham or bacon and home fries toast or sweet rolls or even flour tortillas, jams, etc. OJ, coffee etc.

For the party we are now stuck in a tradition of hot wings and pizza and other finger food/snacky things, but long ago I did more elaborate things like cheese fondue, or albondigas and other Mexican bites.

Beer, wine or go the nice cocktail route - then you need the various ingredients.

Of course you need some kind of sparkling wines and maybe fancy sodas for the non alkies.

Confetti, noisemakers and other such favors - a fun thing to craft yourself are cascarones. Hollow out eggs by poking a hole in each end of an egg (save the insides for your scrambled egg breakfast) Rinse and let dry. Enlarge one hole slightly and tape the other closed. Fill with confetti and tape closed attach to a long cone made from newspaper or construction paper. Decorate - use your imagination - create human figures, or just abstract art. At midnight guests break them over each other's heads. Kids LOVE these. You can order them already filled here: http://www.latinworksco.com/cascarones.html

A bonfire and fireworks and guns would round out the evening's entertainment.
