I have no creative juices in me right now but I want to see what DU can come up with. :)

Be as creative (and funny) as you want.

21. I love that song!
But during the time I fell in love w/ it I was bartending my way through college.... The low places were lofty compared to what they are wallowing in.

Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 12:13 AM by Race4Peace
The 109th Minority: I got a Key, Robert Shaw
The 109th Majority: I'm Gonna Rise, Paul Marsena
The 110th Minority: Close Every Door, Andrew Lloyd Webber
the 110th Liberman: Learn to be Lonely, Andrew Lloyd Webber

Sing me to heaven, Daniel Gawthrop;
Drift away, Dobie Gray.

c'mon, don't give me that look! this is stuff we do in chorus!

14. It's almost 100 years old... here's the lyrics
First published on a four-tune song card in 1908.

Why don't you work like other folks do?
How the hell can I work when there's no work to do?
OR: How can I get a job when you're holding down two?]
CHORUS:
Hallelujah, I'm a bum,
Hallelujah, bum again,
Hallelujah, give us a handout
To revive us again.
Oh, why don't you save all the money you earn?
If I didn't eat, I'd have money to burn.

Whenever I get all the money I earn,
The boss will be broke, and to work he must turn.

Oh, I like my boss, he's a good friend of mine,
That's why I am starving out on the breadline.

When springtime it comes, oh, won't we have fun;
We'll throw off our jobs, and go on the bum.

ADDITIONAL AND ALTERNATE VERSES:

I can't buy a job 'cause I ain't got the dough,
So I ride in a boxcar 'cause I'm a hobo.

I went to a bar and I asked for a drink,
They gave me a glass and they showed me the sink.

ADDITIONAL VERSES FROM CARL SANDBURG, THE AMERICAN SONGBAG, New York, NY, 1990 (originally published in 1927), p. 185.

I went to a house,
And I knocked on the door;
A lady came out, says,
"You been here before."

I went to a house,
And I asked for a piece of bread;
A lady came out, says,
"The baker is dead."

Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 01:54 AM by BlueStorm
But some reason "Memories" just strike me as something the 109th would sing.

And the 110th would sing that one song that goes something like this: "One way or another, I'm gonna get 'cha get 'cha get'cha."

26. Money by Pink Floyd
Money, get away.
Get a good job with good pay and youre okay.
Money, its a gas.
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.
New car, caviar, four star daydream,
Think Ill buy me a football team.

Money, get back.
Im all right jack keep your hands off of my stack.
Money, its a hit.
Dont give me that do goody good bullshit.
Im in the high-fidelity first class traveling set
And I think I need a lear jet.

Money, its a crime.
Share it fairly but dont take a slice of my pie.
Money, so they say
Is the root of all evil today.
But if you ask for a raise its no surprise that theyre
Giving none away.

Huhuh! I was in the right!
Yes, absolutely in the right!
I certainly was in the right!
You was definitely in the right. that geezer was cruising for a
Bruising!
Yeah!
Why does anyone do anything?
I dont know, I was really drunk at the time!
I was just telling him, he couldnt get into number 2. he was asking
Why he wasnt coming up on freely, after I was yelling and
Screaming and telling him why he wasnt coming up on freely.
It came as a heavy blow, but we sorted the matter out
