2. My handle here means:
This word seems to be relatively new, at least the Merriam-Webster “Word of the Day” column claims it to have been invented only in the 1920s. It turns up in only a few dictionaries and seems to be a word that survives more for the chance to show off one’s erudition than as a real aid to communication. If so, this article is a further perpetuation of its unreal status. It is formed from two Greek words, omphalos, “navel, boss, hub”, and skepsis, “the act of looking; enquiry”. The former turns up in words such as omphalotomy, “cutting of the umbilical cord”, in the related omphalopsychic for one of a group of mystics who practised gazing at the navel as a means of inducing hypnotic reverie, and omphalomancy, an ancient form of divination in which the number of children a woman would bear was determined from counting the knots in her umbilical cord at birth.

In real life my only nickname is beaker.

30. It's kinda symbolic,
of the drum's place in cultures as a communicative tool, as a way of a group to take strength in a collective (heart)beat. One of the first steps that conquerers take is to silence the drums and eradicate the language of their conquests, and in these dark days that is one thing we cannot allow.

Also, I used to play drums since I was just a wee lad. My career then moved to another performing art, but I've never lost my need and respect for rhythym and drumming. Happily, my work now blends the two, and I love it.

But the Drum nickname here was a political choice...as well as being a compact four letters, since I type poorly.

Our war, and the sacrifices we make in it, may never be acknowledged, but for the good of our country, we will glady fight it.

78. The alias to this character:

Sailor Aluminum Siren

Though my nick is last name first...
Had I realized that when I started using my nick, I probably would've made it the other way around.

79. A porcupine is safer than a tiger. And a better lover.
I used to be a martial artist. I thought being a tiger was to hard so I would be a porcupine instead.

OTOH-reading the nature of my posts it does seem fitting. I'm a prickly thing on the outside.

81. It means that I was battling the computer and lost.
I meant to call myself "oldeurope" when I first wanted to post here but something didn't work right and I just couldn't log in. Weeks later when it DID work I was told there was an "oldeurope" already(must have been my first try). Since I had no patience to think about another name it's neweurope now.

88. The happy medium between the two extremes
The pendulum is forever swinging one way or another, leaving either the extreme left or the extreme right grabbing the reins of power. So, I chose "STP" because if I want to see radicalism, I'd rather the radical centrists (economic populist/social moderate/conservatives) take power.

I am on the rock and then I check a stock
I have to run like a fugitive to save the life I live
I'm gonna be Iron like a Lion in Zion (repeat)
Iron Lion Zion
I'm on the run but I ain't got no gun
See they want to be the star
So they fighting tribal war
And they saying Iron like a Lion in Zion
Iron like a Lion in Zion,
Iron Lion Zion

I'm on the rock, (running and you running)
I take a stock, (running like a fugitive)
I had to run like a fugitive just to save the life I live
I'm gonna be Iron like a Lion in Zion (repeat)
