19. Yes, it really isn't fair |
|
Even when my dad was 74 years old and in the early stages of Parkinson's disease, he could carry my suitcase more easily than I could.
One of the few Cathy cartoons that I liked had Cathy going off to a spa for two weeks and sweating and starving herself to lose 7 pounds.
She comes back, and Irving says, "So what? I lost 9 pounds."
"How did you do that?"
"I gave up one of my nightly chocolate sundaes."
That's almost true.

You can do it in java, but it's much easier to do it as a perl script that you "fool" DU into executing.
I'm so damned funny!
Or, you can just surround the text you want to highlight with (font color=white)text(/font)
Except use brackets for the ().
And it ends up looking like this:
This sentence has one word whited out

Men's clothes are made better and don't go out of fashion as quickly as women's clothes. Also, men sizes are much more precise than women's. We don't have the option of a size 36 blouse with a 32 sleeve. It's basically small, medium and large. Same for pants....I spent years wearing men's jeans because women's sizes were always either too short or too big in the hips and bottom.
You can tell this is a big issue for me.... :P

As I'm not Scottish I don't get the kilt excuse. Dresses are way comfier than either shorts or pants when its hot. Sure hairy legs look silly, but comfort is more important.

and a bit of a loner, I dearly wish I had the freedom to travel, hike and camp alone without having to be on hyper-alert and ready to defend myself.
I've spent my life feeling deeply, deeply angry about having my freedom limited in that way.
{And, yes, I know men are sometimes victims of violence as well. But, no one can deny that women are much more likely to be assaulted or harassed.)
