http://www.okcupid.com/journal?pid=5720600522903619361&tuid=13934638089539458094Excerpt: Being basically good looking *to me* is mandatory - the exact degree of good looking is not. If I like someone as a person, they become much sexier in my eyes than I know that, strictly speaking, they ought to be. If someone ought to be good looking, but appears to have a bad case of immature/bad attitude/etc., they're...not attractive. I remember someone proudly showing off her new boyfriend, asking if he wasn't handsome, and I had to say something polite - he looked like a bored, spoiled three-year-old with a man's body. There are few people sexy enough to make me acknowledge that they're amazingly hot even as they bore me to tears. And I've never dated anyone just because he was amazingly hot.Do you agree?

1. Yup. The man I fell devastatingly in love with was |
|
heavy, losing his hair, had a silver tooth and a scarred face. I knew he was not objectively attractive but I loved him from the moment I heard his voice. Physical appearance doesn't matter to me, and I too have known, dated and dumped beautiful male specimens simply because the face didn't match the mind.
