You are a child of the '90's if:
You're a 90's kid if:

You remember watching Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Pinky and the Brain , and Two Stupid Dogs.

AAAAAAAH real monsters.

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "Sike!"

You just cant resist finishing this... "Iiiiiiin west philladelphia born and raised..."

You remember TGIF on ABC. Step by Step, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World

You remember when 2Pac and Selena died.

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
you were the coolest kid ever if you could beat it in one computer class *I'm totally gonna go out and buy that game now.*

You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record "Your FAVORITE song of ALL time".

"Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.

Captain Planet. He's a Hero.*I used to wake up early to watch this show!*

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.

You remember when super nintendo's and Sega Genisis became popular.

you used to play Sonic the Hedgehog

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos... but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , (and maybe even 3)........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

You remember watching The Magic School Bus, Wishbone, and Reading Rainbow on PBS.

You remember when Yomega Yo-Yos were cool.

You remember those Where's Waldo books..

You remember when Mortal Kombat Was "Da Bomb"!

U remember eating Warheads sour candys

You remember watching the 1st Batman, Aladdin, Ninja Turtles, and 3 Ninjas movies

U remember Ring Pops.

U remember drinkin' Fruitopia and Surge.

U BEGGED your parents to get you "the Grape Escape" game

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB"

when they made the new lunchables so that you could make tacos and pizza!!

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players

Writing M.A.S.H. notes.

Mousetrap was the coolest game EVER!

Making those little paper fortune cookie finger game things.. and then predicting your life with them.

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell"

You played and/or collected "Pogs"~Casi! Remember how many pogs we had?!*

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet.
And Windows 95 was the best.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles

You had a favorite New Kid on the block, and you knew all of there names

Michael Jordan was a king.

Or you called out "Jordan" when you pretended to "dunk it"

Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff!*

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)

You remember when the new Beanie Babies and talking Elmo were always sold out.

You collected those Beanie Babies.

Growing Pains.

Carebears and The Gummy Bear show.

Gak was the coolest thing invented.

Lambchop's song never ended.

The old dollar bills.

Silver dollars, were cool to have.

You remember a time before the WB.

You collected all the Troll dolls.

You owned a portable tape player.

You know what an original walkman is.

You remember wanting to sit on the orange Nickelodeon couch.

You owned a trapperkeeper

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" ... enough said

You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"

You know the significance of the number 23.

You went to McD's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds...at the play ground
and see-saws

When we were younger:

Before the MySpace frenzy...

Before the Internet & text messaging...

Before Sidekicks & iPods...

Before MIKE JONES...

Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX...

Before Sponge Bob

Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

When light up sneakers were cool.

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

When we recorded stuff on VCRs .

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans.

When 2Pac and Biggie where alive.

When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever.

Way back.

when it was all about N64.

WHEN YOU TRADED POKEMON CARDS FOR A LIVING

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear

Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

5. I was more a teen of the 90s...
...well, starting in 1992, anyway. I remember most of that stuff.

You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books
Ahh! Slap bracelets! I used to have an orange tiger-striped one. Don't remember slam books though...

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
you were the coolest kid ever if you could beat it in one computer class.

http://mystical-chickn.livejournal.com/2006/11/15/ (warning: language)

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record "Your FAVORITE song of ALL time".
Um, I still do this. Mix tapes are a dying art and more people should make them.

You remember reading "Goosebumps"
My little brother had a shite-load of these, although the only one I can remember right off hand is the one with the evil snowman on the cover.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles
Only Rugrats. Early-90s episodes of that show were teh awesome.

All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)
I had a Lisa Frank Trapper-Keeper. It had a koala against a pinky-purple background. (I was SUCH a girly-girl growing up...)

Gak was the coolest thing invented.
I had Gak! It was hot pink. Or possibly purple. (Girly girl.)

You owned a portable tape player.

You know what an original walkman is.

Still do for both. (although I don't use it very much anymore, I still have it.)

You owned a trapperkeeper
See the Lisa Frank entry.

You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
Aw, yeah! Especially the one where the clown made everyone crazy-happy, and the one where the chick was turning into a doll.

12. You forgot to mention "grunge"
...I'm a lot older than you guys, but I gotta admit the 90s have been my favourite decade so far. I miss when "Ten" by Pearl Jam was a new album, and Nirvana, Live, Everclear, Smashing Pumpkins, et al ruled the airwaves (I still listen to "Throwing Copper" and anything by Oasis.)

Did you young-ins partake in Alt-rock when you were in grade school? My generation began listening to great rock music from the time we were about 7 years old, mixed in with the barbie dolls and the Saturday morning cartoons. Childhood always imprints rosy memories, but as an adult in the 90s I can tell you that decade was loaded with hope and promise--what with the Big Dawg as our prez and the internet being brand new and the saviour of the western world. The 90s are like the 60s (which is when I was a child) a really great time to get your first impressions of the world!

Rock on, 90s kids!

Eddie Murphy used the word "psych" in "Delirious", and it had been around a while before then.

I had a Trapper Keeper in the 70s. We 70s children also played on playground merry-go-rounds and seesaws, we recorded off the radio, used the expression "why don't you marry it?", watched good cartoons on Saturdays, made slam books, made the fortune-telling hand game with folded paper (though I've forgotten what we called it), and, of course, remember all of the "before such-and-such items" listed and then some.

I know the Macarena - but only because it was playing in the bars I went to in the 90s. ;)

A small kid, but a kid. Those were good times. The Old Nick was amazing. I loved "Are You Afraid of the Dark", "Doug", "Ahh! Real Monsters", the ORIGINAL "Rugrats" (before they added Dill and Kimi and WAY before they grew up), the ORIGINAL "All That" (with Kenan and Kel (Goodburger!) and Lori Beth and with NO Jamie Lynn Spears), "The Angry Beavers"...whoa. I freaking loved the Old Nick........

I always died when we played Oregon Trail in computer class, but needless to say, it was an amazing game. Just like Reader Rabbit/Math Rabbit and Carmen Sandiego....

It was an optimistic time to grow up. Everything was trendy and sort of shallow, but the economy was great, Bill Clinton was president, and you just knew that you'd start some internet company and become a millionaire.

Now, we're all slaves to the google masters. :)

30. check, check, check, check...
those sure were the days, i did most of the above, although at the time i disagreed with all the pokemon hype, i was a digimon type. gas was cheap, pbs was cool, the tape was the way of the kingdom, with animaniacs, scooby, and goosebumps on the film, and W95, Genisis, N64 were prime tech. and there were cartoons on every afternoon when school got out, too!
and hell, i DO have oregon trail in my desk right now; the old Sega sits aside the cuboard with the Dreamcast(Sonic Adventure is in the machine) all hooked up and ready to play atop the tv, and a dvd player is being "broken in" just on top of the vcr.

make ya wanna have the back-to-the-future car, doesn't it?

33. Yep, I can relate to a bunch of this (born in '80)
Watching TGIF (Family Matters, Boy Meets World and Step by Step, anyway. Who'dathunk Bobby Ewing would go from tragic hero on "Dallas" to being a bland sitcom dad?)

Cartoons (Ninja Turtles were my favorite)

Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (which I played on my Apple IIc.) Who can still sing the Carmen theme song?

Every one in my school practically worshipped Michael Jordan (#23!)

We'd into fights over whether Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis was better (stupid thing to fight over, but Super Nintendo! ;) )

Sunday nights, I'd watch America's Funniest Home Videos followed by America's Funniest People, then the Simpsons, and Married with Children (I don't know how I got away with watching that show).

Voted for the Big Dog in our school's 1992 mock election (and Perot won the school :wtf: ).

I still have a weird taste in music (70s/80s rock and pop, mostly).
