That I've had the benefit of knowing the grace and humor of my Aunt who is dying from cancer.
For the doctors that have helped her over the years and helping her now to reduce her pain.
As always for my parents who through their hard work were able to give me opportunities that lead to my ability to have the quality of life I now have and can provide to my own family.
For the authors of the books that I read this year that challenged my assumptions and ideas and generally expanded my knowledge in important ways, such as Bertrand Russell, Williams E. Rees, Mathis Wackernagel, and Phil Testemale, William Cronon and others
For the authors of the books that I read this year that entertained and still provoked thought such as Ken and Ian MacLeod (they're not related)
For people like Mr Gore who are trying to raise the awareness of the seriousness of the current climate crisis.
For the work of all the scientists and journalists investigating and reporting on the effects of the climate crisis.
That I'm able to get out and experience the wild and the beauty that is there. Without that I would clearly go insane (which means I'm in trouble if age or accident takes away my ability to get out there. :) )
And finally for my Mother-in-laws cooking skills!

My family and friends; all of whom i love dearly and allow me to share their lives with them.
I am thankful for all that I am and have on my journey. the universe has been kind to me.

* My husband, for he loves me for who I am. A perpetual everlasting honeymoon for the past 3 years. * My 9 year old daughter & 5 month old son. * The baby growing inside me due in May. (going to have irish twins here!) * My parents and sisters for being who they are. * My in-laws who are the most awesome people I have met. (they are in Thailand right at this moment adopting a 7 year old orphan little girl and hopefully are able to also adopt a 6 year old little boy.) * The company that I work for.
There are many others, however these are the top most in my mind.
