Norfolk to Lake Placid, NY

Just don't be in a hurry, and try to upgrade to Business Class if you can for the amenities and bigger reclining seats, all the better to sleep in :)

Looked really neat - 2-level observation cars, sleepers and dining cars.

The views along Lake Champagne were great. Glad I did it ONCE. Last 3 hours got a little tedious.

12. Once from Phila to Pittsburgh - a surprisingly long trip

I was REALLY sick. I wore a jumper that made me look pregnant (didn't wear it on purpose), and fortunately, people felt sorry for the poor "pregnant" woman and let me hog two seats so I could curl up and sleep.

I take it between Phila and Baltimore, and between Phila and DC all the time. Love going over the Chesapeake.
