An exploit for this flaw has already been seen on social-networking site MySpace.com, and it could affect anyone using a blog or forum that allows user-generated HTML code to be added, according to Chapin.

2. I suggest
1. Different browsers for different functions. Do not cross-mix functions (e.g. firefox for banking, IE for forums, opera for myspace. Don't go to myspace with IE or the bank site with Opera.)

2. DO NOT use your browser's ability to save passwords. I still do, but not anymore. That article blew away any hint of wallet-based security I've got.

3. Do not use the same password for every site that needs one. That way it's harder for them to use your username elsewhere.

3. Thank you. I use Firefox for everything, and my password is different
for every site I am visiting. What a pain in the balls this is...:-(

4. If I did save a password using the browser, any idea how to remove it?
I tried looking in regedit but couldn't find it there.

5. browser preferences... probably in the security tab...
you'll be able to find the clear button that'll clear out the existing p/w list. And don't save passwords to any site.

6. a nice alternative
to browser based passwords:

http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/

Then all you have to do is remember one very hard password and use this to create very complicated passwords for each and every site you use.
