Are there any pizzerias open tomorrow?

because I don't know if I'll be going to my brother's.

My beyond-ditzy sister-in-law emails me Monday night asking me to
make a vegetable dish. This after she had had a conversation weeks
before with my mother telling her what she wanted us to bring-- I
was to bring wine-- and after I emailed my bro a week ago telling
him I was bringing wine and asking if I should bring an appy or side
as well. He never replied.

So I very sweetly emailed her back and let her know I was way backed
up this wk and the stores were crazy, so sorry, I can't make a dish,
and the menu sounds great just as it is and I'm sure we'll have a
wonderful day and we are really looking forward to it.

So Bro takes umbrage and tells me I was snotty and sarcastic and my
message was "passive-aggressive" (no, his wife has that covered),
and after they're doing all this work I can't even make one dish?

And I told him that I thought I answered her very nicely considering
I was really annoyed, and that it was a sign of my increasing mental
health that I wasn't just saying yes when I really wanted to say no.
And she had driven me crazy with her lack of planning during their
pre- wedding process but I had finally realized this was just her
and not to take it personally but i wasn't going to bend to it
either.

So he nastily congratulated me on my burgeoning mental health and a
series of emails flew back and forth-- he apologizes, then he starts
attacking again, and I start defending, and finally I just asked him
if he could please let it go and try to have a nice holiday. That
is, if he still wants us to come.

No reply, as of yet.
