I just watched it last night. I liked it a lot. I thought it was very imaginative. I did recognize the Borg lady right away. My favorite creature was the big demon with the giant sword.

The original, but I enjoyed the remake.

3. Which was better, the original Dawn of the Dead or the remake?

The remake, but I did love the original.

4. Which was better, the Japanese Dark Water or the American version?

Japanese--the American version was flat.

No, and that truly, truly sucks!

Yes. I don't know why. It makes me think and feel.

yep, no idea why. I'm not all that big on horror films though, they're usually too gory, or the lighting is bad - presumably because all the scary stuff happens at hight,s o they film "night" but it justmakes it hard to see what is happening on screen.

not really.

the lady who died in the bathtub in the same film. I think the twin girls were just sad in that to be ghosts they had to have been killed at that young age.

I don't watch too many of these, so it's hard to think of any. Straightjacket made an impression on me, but I was very young when I saw it.

Straightjacket - Joan Crawford I saw it again a couple years ago, it wasn't as good as I remembered, but still kind of neat to watch it at an age where I was old enough to know what the story was about.

I do. I think it's because you never feel quite so alive as you do when you're in mortal fear. Adrenaline is a great rush.

We actually own Silent Hill. We loved it. Skip recognized her immediately. It's a toss up between the thing with no arms that spit the acid and the guy with the triangular head who was dragging the big sword.

Yep. Loved it, flawed though it may be. I'm a big fan of the game series, so the fact that it didn't completely crush my hopes and dreams was nice. I don't know who "the Borg lady" is. And you really can't fuck with Pyramid Head.

--No, I haven't seen it. But if by the Borg lady you mean Alice Krige, then I would recognize her in a second. I fell in love with her when I was ten and saw Ghost Story, and then years later I met and had dinner with her. Really a very nice woman.

--The original. The thematic opposition (and eventual mirroring) of the two families was much better handled.

--The original. Again, the thematic conceits are incalculably stronger. Plus it's just much better.
