Elementary school love stories.
Edited on Wed Nov-22-06 08:59 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
Tell us about your first boyfriend or girlfriend in elementary school.
Growing up in kingfisher, we were advanced for our ages for kids from Oklahoma. LOL I had a kookie boyfriend in fourth grade named Nathan Bailey. My friend Rachel and I shared him as a boyfriend. LOL
Who was your first "boyfriend or girlfriend?"
Duckie

1. I was an early vixen
We were 3 and his name was Ray-Ray. I am told that I led him around the neighborhood in his saggy diaper and dirty face saying "Come on Ray-Ray, let's go."

Really not much has changed.

2. I had a little crush on a young man in 6th grade...
...the camp counselor. Probably the most common kind of elementary school girl crush there is...
I still remember his name...it was Roy.

He was about 16 years old, and I remember being convinced the age difference didn't matter.
Luckily, for both of our sakes, he wasn't a perv!!

:loveya:

3. Ah, third-grade romance.
My "girlfriend" was Sheri Rizzo. Cutest girl you ever saw. Had the Dorothy Hamill wedge-cut hairdo and everything. (This is 1977.) We were an item, I think, mainly because she was trying to make Sandra Hicks jealous. Sad, because Sandra is the one who turned out to be the love of my life. We had a thing all the way up through the summer before 6th grade. And then I moved away and never saw her again. :(

4. Did you ever see the movie "Hearts in Atlantis"?
Your story reminded me of it.

6. First there was Tripp Haggard
Chased him around the Kindergarten room for kisses, and always put my nap mat next to his :loveya:

Then, in 1st grade it was Churchill Blakey (may he RIP...car crash almost three years ago).
Churchill and I were "married" by a neighborhood friend.

2nd grade, it was Billy Richardson, with all the cutest freckles. We were always trading notes in class.
(ahhh...LOVE!)

No one special until Rex Bell in 6th grade. I was so shy, and adored him from afar. Got all tongue-tied anytime he talked with me.

Yes...I admit it...

I was an Elementary School Whore!!!!!!!!!!!

7. My first kiss
It was a day not unlike any other Kindergarten-day. I had on my kangaroos and a dime machine spaceship necklace. The (kindergarten) ladies loved them both. Little did I know that when I velcroed my roos' that morning that they turned me into some dashing hybrid of John, Paul, and George. I'll admit the spaceship necklace was a tad bit Ringo but hey it was a dime, and my mommy said it was cute. School went as normal until recess when my bright white roos' became topic of conversation. Then they noticed the spaceship necklace. One girl in particular really took to it. It was SO Magnum P.I. Somehow a congregation of classmates were around us. The boys were taunting me. The girls were laughing. And then one boy yelled, "KISS HIM!" She moved in, and I ran like the wind, as fast as those little roos' would go. Anyway, the whole class chased after me, caught me, tackled me, and held me down. She kissed me with about 20 5 year olds huddled around chanting. I don't remember her name.

We held hands at the skating rink at some point during a birthday party. She asked me via note if I "A: Wanted to break up" or "B: Wanted to play kiss-n-tag at recess".

or something like that.

I had a crush on a girl that went by the name Duckie in jr. high.

8. Mom has a picture of my grabbing the neighbor boy "porky"
by his chubby little cheeks and kissing him. It was a very passionate peck, from the look of it. :P

In Kindergarten it was "Tommy". Tommy asked me one day if i wanted to be his girlfriend. I responded with a "sure, i guess so." It was us against the world for at least two months.

I cried one day in school because they made us change for gym in the classroom. He comforted me and blocked the other kids view.
:bounce:

Sadly, i was switched from the morning class to the afternoon class and Tommy 'n me were no more. There was that one fateful day when our classes were combined for a field trip to the aquarium. I looked forward to seeing him but alas it was not meant to be. He did not attend that day. The girl i was partnered with spent a few minutes of her limited attention span telling me about HER boyfriend...Tommy was his name.

Fun stuff. And totally true. It's been all downhill from there. :P

9. Her name was Addy.
She gave me chicken pox. I lerved her.

I saw her several months ago. She looks like she is fifty, from over-baking her skin in the tanning bed.

11. Pre-elementary school
His name was Lee. He lived on the corner of my street. He was my first kiss. We used to play on his swingset and he called me his princess. We used to take walks around the schoolyard. He was there to listen to me, like the time I was confused when my mom told me I was an aunt and I had no clue what it meant. He gave me a hug and told me it would be okay.

He moved away when I was 6. I was brokenhearted for a while.

13. When I was in kindergarten, I liked a boy and kissed him in class.
The teachers thought it was adorable. I doubt that would be true today.
