1. It's totally okay to have those pleasures.

I watch it as well. You need something for brain-candy once in a while. I also love "Top Chef", "House Hunters" and "Miami Ink".

-- even the promos -- makes me weak in the knees -- not great with needles.

I watch Animal Planet's animal cops show. Good to know these suffering beasties get good homes usually...

3. In the past I've felt the same about needles.....but after years now

of working in the health industry it's not so bad. I see you're in Portland. I've been looking at homes there on Realtor.com and have thought about an eventual move to Portland. I've been hearing about an upsurge in 'meth' use and am not sure how that is impacting the way of life in Portland. I'm in the SF Bay Area, and I'm sure meth is just as prevalent here. Have you lived there for the better part of your life? What are your likes/dislikes (if any) in living there?
Your input would be greatly appreciated.
