I graduated from high school in 1987. Two of my best friends from that time are now dead. The details are unimportant to anyone else. At this time of year, as I give thanks for what I have, I think of them, and I wish they were here.

3. I was thinking about this the other day.

I wanted to start a thread on it, an 'in remembrance' thread, but I didn't know how. I particularly was thinking about a friend of mine, when I posted a thread full of songs from the music group Bush. A friend that looked so much like the lead singer of that band took his own life just under 5 years ago, and I can't watch those videos without thinking about him. He was also in a band and very much had the rock musician charisma, but his passion was art and he was such a talented artist that he supported himself through his painting, which is very rare for someone to be able to do unless they are really talented. As someone who is not naturally talented at many things at all, it just seems such a waste that someone with so many gifts was lost to the world. I have been thinking about him so much lately, so thanks for giving me an opportunity to post about it. And that song is really, really special to me, too.
