I LOOOVE to cook and Thanksgiving is my superbowl. Wasn't feeling so good last night but kept at the preparations. I was out of bed at 1:00 am with the worst case of the heaves in many years. Knowing that my kids were feeling ill earlier in the week it would be criminal for me to continue cooking for extended family.
I am sidelined. Benched. Out of action. :puke: :hurts:
If you have a headache and a bellyache before dinner consider eating very lightly.

which means that I can't go near any food that will be served cold or any of the hot food after it comes off the boil. There will be several elderly and frail relatives present at dinner.
Besides, the other 12 members of my family are actually really good cooks also. They're just used to relying on me to knock it out of the park. My plan is to lay down on the couch and yell instructions to teens. It's time they stepped up to the plate anyway.

the turkey. I'm going to eat and then run -- back home to my heating pad, rotating it with my ice pack.
Oh, life is like that sometimes. Thank goodness the doctor gave me Percocet for the difficult hours.
