Between school, work and LeftyKid, I haven't really had the time before today. Luckily dinner will only take a couple of hours to prepare. If I'd had to get up at some godforsaken hour of the morning to stick a turkey in the oven we'd be trying to find an open chinese takeout place for sure.

Is anybody else not even ready to get started or am I the Official Lounge Holiday Slacker Champion?

2. Some of our grocery stores are 24/7, but the food co-op closes at 1 pm today.
I hope they still have some of the vegan pumpkin pies left, I have everything to make one but theirs are a bit better than the ones I make myself.

13. I couldn't reach flvegan all day. I was worried and more than a little bit pissed off. He's okay.
I'll let him post what happened if he wants, but he's only a little worse for wear and going to try to get out here standby today.

17. Thanks.
Hadn't realized you guys still haven't met in person until some recent thread as well. Thought you guys had been together sometime last year. Some day it will just be faboulous stories, but my sympathy for the struggles in the present time.

20. That's the sad thing- we have been a couple for more than a year.
It's just that between his job (mostly) and my schooling (a little bit) we haven't been able to carve a week or so out for each other. So we planned on this week, and so far that's a bust, but he's going to try to get out here tonight.

14. For real. If I hurry I could have dinner ready in time to be a late lunch.
Oh, and not only did the food co-op have the kick-ass vegan pies, they were on sale. :D

16. I was at work then. I could have gone last night, but the store was scary.
I figured today was probably a better idea.

I forgot the potatoes though, so I have to run over to the local grocery and grab them.

11. There's no shame in Thanksgiving takeout.
After all the work I'm doing today, I wonder if it wouldn't have been easier (and cheaper!) to buy a safeway Thanksgiving package (with the pre-cooked Turkey, etc).

15. But would it taste as good?
I was tempted to get a tofurkey or something instead of making everything from scratch, but since it's only once a year the extra effort is definitely worth it.
