1. Well, been on the phone with Mom
but had a nice Thanksgiving with a close friend. Wish Mom could be here but we live a long way apart.

2. Glad to hear!
And yes, it was nice - although there's no such celebration here, but we did it anyway. Just no turkey; a few candles and giving thanks. :hi:

3. That's all that matters!
There doesn't have to be turkey. It's all about being with loved ones and being thankful. :-)

4. My dear terrya!
Ours hasn't really happened yet!

First, we're on the Left Coast...and dinner isn't happening till 6pm our time!

But I'm having a nice quiet day here on DU, while listening to classical music....KUAT...

:hi:

6. Sounds lovely, CaliforniaPeggy!
That's right...it's only 2:30PM out there...

Well, relax, enjoy some nice music and have a great dinner tonight. :-)

I suspect I'm going to be turning in early tonight. Mom and I are going Christmas shopping tomorrow. :scared:

8. I'm glad to hear it...
we're still waiting on our turkey - it's ALMOST done and I'm starving. My son and husband are playing Zelda and my daughter should be here any time now.
My oldest daughter couldn't make it down from NYC, but I talked to her earlier. She's going to a friend's place. She's coming for Christmas, yay! :)

9. We did, and I'm glad you did too.
It was just Mr. LIW, me and the two youngest LIW kids, but my oldest daughter called from my sister's place. They had a full house - two of my sisters and their families, my brother and his brood, my daughter, and my parents.

10. Yay!!!! So did we.
Thirteen of us at the triplets' house. The triplets, their mother, my sister, her husband, my other niece, my nephew, his girlfriend and her three kids. Unfortunately, the triplets' father is a chef and had to work -- 450-odd reservations 50 turkeys comprising 700 pounds of turkey to be served. My niece tried to call him and he didn't even have time to pick up the phone or call back. :(

Oh, the dog tried to come home with me. :D I'd have loved it, but it violates the condominium rules.

11. Not so much
In fact, I think our dog had more fun than me.

I'm sitting here at work (just passing the time until they'll let us go). Jason went to Ohio to be with his family since I had to work. He left Tuesday and is coming back tomorrow. I sent the dog to the family dinner at my sister's so she could play with my dad's dog.

On the upside, I'm making double time and get a vacation day, which I'm taking Saturday, our first-year anniversary. We're going out for dinner and then opening a bottle of champagne we smuggled back from Mexico last year. That kind of makes up for everything.

Glad you enjoyed your day, though. :hi:
